The theme for World Earth Day 2021 is Restore Our Earth, which focuses on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems.
It is up to each and every one of us to Restore Our Earth not just because we care about the natural world, but because we live on it. We all need a healthy Earth to support our jobs, livelihoods, health & survival, and happiness. A healthy planet is not an option – it is a necessity.
At Chiswick Park, we believe we have a vital role in ensuring our business is sustainable and responsible. We continue to work on making a positive difference to the community through Enjoy Work Together, our Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) strategy.
The E for environmental focusses on the environmental impact of the business. An area which we have been working on since the launch of the Campus over 20 years ago. Our environmental criteria include our 5-year energy management plan, our use of renewable energy sources, our waste management programme, and our biodiversity practices.
What we’re doing at Chiswick Park
-
Encouraging our Guests to use electric cars by installing more EV charging points on our Campus
-
Making cycling to work as easy as possible with increased bike parking, cycling facilities in every building and bikes available for hire
-
Helping to support, maintain and attract wildlife through the plants we grow and the habitats that we create
-
Reducing our overall energy consumption across the Campus, by taking a bespoke building approach to energy management and through better use of technologies
-
Maintaining green waste recycling at 100%
-
Working towards increasing our recycling rates from our current average of 56% to 65% by the end of 2021
